A few weeks ago, I started a Copywriting Challenge. I decided to write an article a day, and some LiveMentor students joined me in this noble challenge! For this one, I wrote with 4 hands, well helped by the newcomer to the team, Nicolas, admissions manager at LiveMentor We recently held the first LiveMentor workshop in our new offices! It was a workshop open to all, on a theme that we have been asked a lot: “How to pitch your project well” . We were delighted to see some of our students again and to discover new faces. As the workshop was well received, we plan to organize others, at the rate of one per month, which will be announced on our Meetup page. Why did we organize this workshop? Why did you take on a theatrical coach as an animator? This is the subject of this article My first pitch I remember the first time I pitched LiveMentor. It was at the colleague of the Bernardins, in the 5th arrondissement in Paris. I was not leading off! With a dozen other project leaders, we were in a large amphitheater, in front of a hundred onlookers.

Flashback.. The event started 30 minutes ago, and I still haven't made it. I look at my watch, when I feel an unpleasant sensation in my stomach growing. I have stage fright and it does not pass! I am finally called, and I stammer a presentation of the project as quickly as possible. I don't know how long the torture lasted, but it was long for me and for the spectators. My pitch learning I learned to pitch as an autodidact, over the exercises. It's not the funnest method. We sometimes Mobile Phone Number take slaps, and it's hard to self-analyze. A year and a half ago, I had reached a decent level, but not excellent. And then, I met the actors and Estelle What actors teach us Estelle Haas is the theatrical coach who accompanies our mentors today. She raises their skills thanks to the techniques of the comedian. She works on the energy and the fluidity of their lessons. One of the challenges of an online course for our mentors is to succeed in communicating the desire and the pleasure of learning at a distance. We go through theater coaching so that they find an energy similar to that which they would have if they were physically in a classroom.

The work of theatrical coaching is done on the voice, the breath and the body in a global way. The first guinea pig for these theater exercises was me! And it's not just our mentors who need to energize. Any project leader must succeed in communicating their desire: whether to recruit, raise funds, convince, negotiate, motivate... In short, it's about pitching. As a reminder, pitching means presenting your project in a succinct, clear and convincing way, and not eating pitches. We organized this workshop on the theme  “How to pitch your project well”  to help project leaders develop this essential skill. BUT FIRST, WHY KNOWING HOW TO PITCH YOUR PROJECT IS ESSENTIAL? Are you working on a project that is close to your heart? To carry out your project, you must convince, inspire and enthuse all the people who will be able to help you: this can be investors, customers, talents likely to join your adventure... If you haven't started yet, we hope it happens to you as soon as possible. This is the mission that we have given ourselves at LiveMentor: to support and coach all people who wish to follow their passion and launch their project. Having a hard-hitting pitch doesn't happen in two minutes, it has to be learned.
